Robledo Timido overcomes self-doubt in new single “Kuha ang Inis.”

Emerging from the vibrant streets of Metro Manila, Robledo Timido solidifies his growing influence on Pinoy hip-hop with his latest drop, “Kuha ang Inis,” released on July 12.

Produced by BRGR, this track finds Timido fusing raw lyrical grit with a contemporary trap sensibility--a signature of his style that balances unapologetic verse and melodic punch.

“The project itself was born spontaneously in the studio, BRGR laid down a beat, and the words and flows just came to me effortlessly. For the visuals, Rex America helped me translate those ideas into a compelling visual narrative,” Timido said in a statemement.

“Kuha ang Inis” picks up where his introspective storytelling left off in his breakout tracks like “Gusto Ko Sakin Ka Lang” and “Mapagdamot,” diving deeper into themes of irritation, drive, and emotional release.

Timido said, “This song helps me explore new emotions, specifically overcoming both self-doubt and the doubts of others. It also allows me to express feelings like rage, while never forgetting my roots, all of which contributed to the triumphs I'm experiencing now.”

The production--layered with hard-hitting drums and atmospheric synths--creates a mood that's both confrontational and hypnotic, giving the hip-hop artist a strong platform to showcase his voice and rhythmic flow.

“My style has likely developed towards an unfiltered, unpolished, and unapologetically authentic sound for "KUHA ANG INIS" by leaning into my signature lyrical candor and honest exploration of complex emotions. This progression shows a growing confidence in my unique artistic voice, allowing me to present my music in its most genuine form without compromise,” the 20-year-old Timido said.

As a young artist, Timido had already learned the importance of authenticity when it comes to creating music.

He related, “Throughout my career, the most important lesson I've learned about music so far is the power of authentic self-expression and vulnerability. I've realized that the more honest and unfiltered I am in my lyrics, the more deeply my music resonates with listeners.

“It's about using my experiences, whether they're personal struggles, relationship complexities, or shared frustrations, as a 'healing process' and a way to connect with others who feel the same.

“This dedication to genuine emotion, even if 'unpolished,' is what ultimately builds a true connection and allows my art to leave a positive impact.

Timido's rapid ascent--from viral streaming success to being on Billboard Philippines' radar--has been fueled by his honest lyricism and genre-blending artistry. With “Kuha ang Inis,” he continues to build momentum, further staking his claim as one of the most compelling new voices redefining hip-hop in the Philippines.

“My biggest dream for my music is to break into the mainstream and establish my place in Pinoy rap, and reaching the global audience. I've held onto this vision, promising myself I would get through to the ears of the majority in OPM/Pinoy HipHop, and I'm even more determined to see it through next year.

“Beyond just popularity, I want my songs to leave a positive impact on my audience, contributing to the industry by setting a high bar for authentic and meaningful artistry,” he concluded.
