Mister International Kirk Bondad's homecoming parade is set for tomorrow at the SM Mall of Asia.
Filipino pageant fans who want to celebrate the victory of current reigning Mister International Kirk Bondad now have an opportunity to do so as a homecoming parade is set to happen tomorrow for the titleholder.
In one of the more recent posts on its official Instagram account, the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide organization announced that a homecoming parade will be held for Kirk at the SM Mall of Asia Complex tomorrow, October 17, at 4:30 p.m. In the caption to the post, the organization called on fans to prepare their “loudest cheers and vibrant banners” for him.
The homecoming parade comes after Kirk's return to the country last month, holding a victory press conference at the Holiday Inn Express Manila at the Newport World Resorts.
Kirk has already previously expressed his gratitude for the support he has received in an Instagram post, uploading multiple photos from his time at the Mister International pageant, showing him not just winning the title, but also taking part in the pageant's production number and getting a congratulatory embrace from his parents.
In the caption to the post, Kirk declared that his winning moment was bigger than himself and was a testament to faith, hard work, and the power of a nation rallying behind one dream. He then listed down the organizations and individuals who made his journey possible, from the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide organization, to designers Francis Libiran and Patrick Isorena, and to his family, friends, and fans in the Philippines and all over the world.
Status by Sparkle star Brandon Espiritu was one of the people who were the first to congratulate Kirk, writing in an Instagram post that Kirk pushed him, held him accountable, and was even the reason that he got into pageants in the first place. He also wrote that he's seen Kirk's battles and losses and how he's gotten back up again, and that seeing him bring home a crown for the country is “unreal”.
Before winning the crown, the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide organization campaigned hard for vote for Kirk, stating that a good performance would help land Kirk in the top six of the pageant.
The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide organization also called for a “bayanihan” vote for Kirk a week ago, stating that this also helps Kirk get the “coveted crown”.
