Taal volcano victims relief efforts

Although donating to Taal Volcano eruption victims is a great way to declutter, we should also be mindful of what to donate and what to keep and give to garage sale instead.

Various non-government organizations, advocacies, and government units have prepared volunteers to accept donations for Taal Volcano eruption victims. Here are some of the organizations who are sending your help to where it's needed:

GMA Kapuso Foundation

GMA Kapuso Foundation prepares to come to the aid of Batangas residents displaced by the eruption of Taal Volcano.

Caritas Manila

Caritas Manila is a church-based nonprofit organization with one of the biggest relief efforts for victims of the Taal Volcano eruption.

For donations in kind, the drop-off site is at 2002 Jesus Street, Pandacan, Manila.

Philippine Red Cross

The Philippine Red Cross is a humanitarian organization accepting donations in kind at various offices in Cavite.

Tulong Kabataan

Tulong Kabataan is accepting donations in kind at the Kabataan Partylist Office located at 117C Matatag Street, Barangay Central, Quezon City.

Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

PAWS is also sending out help focused on rescuing animals in and around Taal Lake. According to PAWS, pet dogs, cows, and other livestock have been left at the site when people were evacuated. For cash donations, you may deposit to the PAWS official bank account.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)

Animal rights group PETA is accepting donations in kind such as cat food, dog food, telescopes for scouting stranded animals, leashes, and collars. You may drop off your donations at the PETA Asia office located at Unit 706, Fedman Building, 199 Salcedo Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City.

As the critical level for Taal Volcano continues to be on Level 4, resources must be made gathered and distributed to all evacuees to ensure everyone's welfare.
