Jonalyn has indeed grown from the shy girl in a singing competition to someone who continuously surprises audiences and brings pride to the country.

Almost a decade after winning in Pinoy Pop Superstar, Jonalyn Viray finds herself more blessed than ever.

The talent search not only paved the way for her to join show business, but also allowed her to gain the confidence she never knew she had.

“Sobrang laki ng difference (between Jonalyn before and now) kasi nung Pinoy Pop days, sobrang mahiyain ako… So, 'yung Jonalyn today, mas open and mas confident na,” she said.

In terms of styling, she said she has learned to become more refined and well-dressed. At least ngayon natuto na ‘kong mag-ayos-ayos,” she laughingly shared.

The singer admitted that there are times when she still gets nervous around others, especially among people she looks up to. She recalled her earlier years of working around Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

Jonalyn has indeed grown from the shy girl in a singing competition to someone who continuously surprises audiences and brings pride to the country.

Aside from winning Pinoy Pop Superstar, she has sung several theme songs of Kapuso shows as well as the national anthem in Manny Pacquiao’s fight. She has also won several awards in the World Championship of Performing Arts.
