Girls with petite frames and smaller bodies might find shopping for new clothes quite difficult. Wearing an ill-fitting garment may look unflattering and hide the features you want to highlight.
Fortunately, there are quite a few hacks on how to alter these clothes to fit petite girls better.
Actress Kiray Celis, who rocks her small frame with confidence, shared some tips on how to alter ill-fitting or outdated tops.
Kiray shared that oversized blouses tend to cut her legs off making her look even shorter. One way around this is to expose one shoulder and knot the blouse at the waist. Exposing more skin gives the illusion of looking taller and shortening the top will make the legs look longer.
Transforming an outdated and ill-fitting shirt is not only eco-friendly, it's also a way to show off your excellent sense of style. Just like with an oversized blouse, show off your shoulders and waist for that cropped effect. When altering your clothes, Kiray suggests not making everything look too perfect to get that effortless feel.
Using a pair of sheers or scissors are an easy way to level up any boring top. Kiray cut a slit from the center of the hemline to just above the waist of her plain white top and used the flaps to tie a knot.
