Here's another way you can be productive at home in this time of global health crisis.

The enhanced community quarantine period has given people so much time in their hands but it has gone a bit too long already that most are running out of ideas on how to keep themselves busy, entertained, or productive.

If you are one of those who are looking for new things to do while still holed up in your homes, the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) shared three simple steps on how to start container gardening.

Container gardening is an ideal way to grow plants when you have little to no space for a garden in your home.

According to Good Housekeeping, “Almost any vegetable, flower, herb, shrub, or small tree can grow successfully in a container.”

Before you start, prepare these materials:

After you prepared the needed materials, you may now start the 3-step container gardening by the DENR.

1. Put holes on the top part of the bottle. Leave an inch between each hole. Divide the bottle into two.

2. Put some soil on the top half of the bottle. Cut two one-inch-wide cloths to make a wick. Insert it into the mouth of the bottle.

3. Put water on the bottom part of the bottle. Add some organic liquid fertilizer or Verme tea if available.

Once the plant has fully grown, it can be moved to the ground or to a larger container or pot.
