Ginataang Mais

Procedure:

1. In a saucepan, combine coconut milk and malagkit rice and let the coconut milk boil.


2. Stir the mixture to prevent the glutinous rice from sticking. Set the heat to low and let the rice cook while stirring once in a while.
3.Add the whole kernel corn and cook.



4. Put the sugar and stir for a few minutes.
5. Add coconut cream, (set aside a small portion of the cream for topping) until the mixture is slightly thick, Transfer to a serving bowl and top with the remaining coconut cream



Ginataang Monggo

Procedure:

1. Heat pan and put in the monggo beans.
2. Toast the monggo beans until brown.
3. Turn off heat and let the monggo beans cool.
4. Crack the toasted monggo beans using a mortar and pestle. Set aside.


5. Heat pot and pour-in coconut milk add the malagkit rice and let it boil.
6. Add the toasted monggo into the mixture and let it cook until it softens.



7. Once the malagkit rice and monggo are cooked, add the sugar. Taste for the desired sweetness.
8.  Add coconut cream (set aside a small portion of the cream for topping) and simmer until slightly thick.
9. Turn off heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
