Howie Severino's son Alon will undergo quarantine after returning home from Spain amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

In September 2019, Howie shared that Alon had to go overseas to “experience the world.”

The Kapuso broadcast journalist anticipated 10 months of separation from his unico hijo but Alon has returned home sooner due to the growing COVID-19 threat around the world.

His son, who was staying in Spain where nearly 14,000 confirmed cases and over 500 deaths have been reported according to Howie's post, will have to go under a 14-day quarantine.

He related, “The son, who has grown to 5'10” while he was gone, finally arrived after a 22-hour journey and an abrupt evacuation from Spain (nearly 14,000 covid-19 cases and over 500 deaths). On the car ride home, he couldn't help but answer my questions in Spanish. He hardly spoke any other language in six months in Spain. He'll be quarantined at home for two weeks.”
