Ice Seguerra has urged fans to stop uploading full concert performances online, reminding ticket buyers that a concert ticket does not grant them the right to reproduce or distribute the show.

Ice Seguerra has appealed to fans to stop uploading full performances from concerts online, stressing that buying a ticket does not give concertgoers the right to reproduce or distribute an entire show.

In a Facebook post on Monday, August 24, the “Pagdating ng Panahon” hitmaker said they appreciate fans who record highlights during performances, particularly clips capturing their favorite moments and songs. However, they emphasized that posting full performances or nearly an entire concert is different from simply sharing the experience.

The post came after a series of videos from the Sessionistas: The Playlist show held on Saturday, August 22, at The Theatre at Solaire were uploaded online.

The concert featured Ice, Sitti Navarro, Nyoy Volante, Kean Cipriano, Princess Velasco, and Juris, with Ice also serving as the show's director.

Ice wrote, “When you buy a concert ticket, you're buying the experience of watching the show. You are not buying the right to record the whole thing and upload it to your own YouTube page or social media pages.”

He reiterated this point in Filipino, saying, “Hindi po dahil nakabili tayo ng ticket, atin na rin ang concert.”

Ice also highlighted the many people involved in bringing a concert to life, including “artists, musicians, composers, producers, publishers, and crew” members.

According to the singer, their collective work is protected, making the unauthorized uploading of full songs or lengthy portions of a show more than just an act of sharing.

“That work is protected, and reposting full songs or entire portions of a concert without permission is not simply 'sharing.' It is an unauthorized distribution of someone else's work.”

Ice encouraged fans to continue posting photos, short clips, and personal reactions to the concerts as ways of celebrating and supporting the performers.

“Please share your favorite moments. Post your photos. Post short clips. Tell people what you loved about the show. We appreciate all of that. But please don't upload the concert itself.”

At the same time, Ice called on those who have already uploaded full performances from their shows to remove the content.

He pleaded, “To those who have uploaded full performances from our shows, I'm asking you to please take them down.

“Support the music. Support the artists.

“Please don't turn our work into content you never had the right to distribute.”

Meanwhile, Ice's wife and Sessionistas: The Playlist creative director, Liza Diño, also called out the uploading of full concert performances online, warning that legal action may be taken against unauthorized uploads.

She said, “We will be protecting the rights of our artists and our productions, and we will take the necessary steps against unauthorized uploads when needed.

“Support artists by sharing the experience. Please don't steal the work.”
