Ice Seguerra remained positive while his father, Dick Seguerra, battles prostate cancer.

“Sa mga hindi po nakakaalam, may cancer si daddy,” Ice revealed in a lengthy message on Instagram.

“Nagsimula sa prostate kaso nag-metastasize sa ibang parts ng bone niya. Okay naman siya.

“Katatapos lang ng radiation treatment.”

Ice also revealed that his family has had hard feelings toward him because he barely visited them.

“Nagkaroon kami ng family meeting noon sa bahay, of course, dahil open forum, nagkalabasan ng mga sama ng loob,” he said candidly.

“Masama loob nila sa akin 'cause I rarely visit. At aminado ako doon.

“So I changed my ways. I made sure na I'm always in contract with them.

“Labas kami once or twice a week. Malling lang or kakain sa labas tapos kwentuhan.

“Mas nagkaroon ako ng appreciation sa bawat isa sa kanila, mas naiintindihan ko kapag nagtatampo sila sa akin and I make sure na hindi ko papalampasin 'yun.”

Despite what happened, Ice still sees the bright side of it and remains positive.

“My dad's sickness brought us all closer, I think,” Ice added.

“I get to hug my mama more, mas nakakapag-usap kami ni daddy tungkol sa mga bagay na dati hindi namin napag-uusapan.

“So yeah, may cancer siya but I think blessing pa rin 'yun kasi it gave us the gift of appreciating every single day that we get to spend togehther.

“Every hug, every tawanan, the conversations and most of all, ang makahingi ng tawad at makapagpatawad.

“Now, I can say, at least on my end, that there are no words left unsaid and no deeds left undone.”

Ice also thanked his adopted brother, for being the “man of the house.”

“Isa rin sa hindi matatawarang blessing sa buhay ko ay ang kapatid ko. He's become the man of the house, in every sense of the word,” Ice said.

“May katuwang ako kina mama and daddy. Hindi lang sa pag-aalaga but financially din.

“Siguro, kung wala kapatid ko, nabaliw na ako pero dahil nandiyan siya, teamwork kami.

“Sobrang swerte ko sa kapatid ko. Responsable, he takes care of the family and he loves us to death.”

In the end, Ice promised his family that they will bond the moment the enhanced community quarantine was lifted.

“Mama, daddy, bro, kain tayo pagtapos nito. Sa kahit saan ninyo gusto,” he ended.

“Miss ko na kayo.”

Missing these 3 so much. Last time ko sila nakita was before I left for the states nung March 3. Pagbalik ko quarantine na. Dahil lampas 70 na rin sina mama and daddy, I dont want to risk it. Sa mga hindi po nakakaalam, may cancer si daddy. Nagsimula sa prostate kaso nag metastasize sa ibang parts ng bone niya. Okay naman siya. Katatapos lang ng radiation treatment. Naisip ko nga, buti na lang natapos namin yung treatment bago nangyari ang lahat. I'm thinking of my dad's "classmates" sa radiology dept ng St. Luke's. Marami sa kanila, pasimula pa lang. I can't imaging what they're going through right now. :( Nagkaroon kami ng family meeting nun sa bahay. Of course, dahil open forum, nagkalabasan nang mga sama ng loob. Masama loob nila sa akin coz I rarely visit. At aminado ako dun. So I changed my ways. I made sure na Im always in contact with them. Labas kami once or twice a week. Malling lang or kakain sa labas tapos kwentuhan. Simple pero masaya. Mas nagkaroon ako ng appreciation sa bawat isa sa kanila, mas naiintindihan ko kapag nagtatampo sila sa akin and I make sure na hindi ko papalampasin yun. He's become the man of the house, in every sense of the word. May katuwang ako kina mama and daddy. Hindi lang sa pagaalaga but financially din. Siguro kung wala kapatid ko, nabaliw na ako pero dahil nandiyan siya, teamwork kami. Sobrang swerte ko sa kapatid ko. Responasable, he takes care of the family, and he loves us to death. Mama, daddy, bro... Kain tayo pagtapos nito. Sa kahit saan ninyo gusto. Miss ko na kayo.:(
