Ice Seguerra showed a playful and unexpected side during the latest "Sessionistas: The Playlist" concert, leaving fans amused and cheering after taking on Rihanna's “S&M” for the show's more daring segment.

The singer-director caught concertgoers off guard when he appeared onstage in a black corset-inspired ensemble and launched into a high-energy performance of Rihanna's “S&M.” With his choreography and confident delivery, Ice had the crowd reacting throughout the number, making it one of the evening's standout surprises.

The performance was part of the concert's “Sexy Playlist,” one of four musical sections designed around different emotions and experiences. The show also featured the “Kilig,” “Barkada,” and “Healing” playlists, giving the audience a mix of upbeat performances, nostalgic favorites, and more sentimental numbers.

Joining Ice onstage were fellow Sessionistas Nyoy Volante, Juris Fernandez, Kean Cipriano, Sitti Navarro, and Princess Velasco. The six artists brought back the group's familiar sound as they performed songs from their respective repertoires alongside tracks that have become closely associated with their years together.


The concert was mounted by Fire and Ice Entertainment, founded by Ice Seguerra and Liza Diño-Seguerra, with Fire and Ice Live behind the production.

With its combination of nostalgia and fresh surprises, including Ice's unexpected “S&M” performance, the latest Sessionistas show proved that the group still knows how to keep its audience entertained.

The Sessionistas trace their beginnings to a musical variety show, where the group was formed 17 years ago. Although the members eventually pursued their individual careers, their friendship and musical connection continued, allowing them to reunite for performances years after their original run.

Their return to the stage gained momentum last year with four reunion concerts, three in Manila and one in Cebu. The latest show continued that reunion streak with another packed night for their longtime supporters.

Duncan Ramos, another member of the group, was not part of Saturday's concert but is expected to perform with the Sessionistas again in future shows.

Rather than sticking to one musical mood, "Sessionistas: The Playlist" was designed as a soundtrack to different moments in life. Its performances touched on romance, friendship, celebrations, memories, and healing, giving longtime fans plenty of reasons to reminisce while introducing the group's chemistry to newer audiences.
