In a recent episode of I Juander, hosts and veteran journalists Susan Enriquez and Mark Salazar uncover this hidden gem Pares place in Makati that serves scrumptious food for a budget-friendly price. Cue in Walastik Pares, also known as Walastik and D'Orig Walastik located in the streets of Makati City.

Owned by former kitchen helper Wilbert Ramos, Walastik Pares serves their classic creamy beef Pares with their delicious fried rice for only PhP60. Customers can also opt to add other meat choices such as utak, mata, isaw, tumbong, litid, and bone marrow.

What started out as a favorite street food option by locals has now turned into a staple on the streets of Makati. But Wilbert's offering isn't only loved by those who consume it on a daily basis, some even go out of their way just to visit his stall.

“Inisip ko na medyo i-upgrade naman. Bale inisip ko na lagyan ng tumbong at mga laman loob. Sa pagpapakulo po nito, napaka tagal na proseso po nito. Siguro nasa anim na oras,” shares Wilbert.

When asked what the's secret to his fan-favorite Pares, Wilbert revealed, “Ang importante lang sa pagluluto kailangan masaya ka e. Nasa puso mo yung pagluluto mo para maging masarap yan. Basta yung tinatrabaho mo, ienjoy mo lang.”
