iKON member Bobby Kim is allegedly leaving YG Entertainment, but the agency has refuted the reports.
On November 15, K-pop Herald reported that an "industry insider" had informed the media outlet about Bobby's alleged decision to not renew his contract with YG Entertainment.
A representative of YG Entertainment responded to the report, “The rumor is groundless. There is still time left on his contract.” No further detail was shared regarding when Bobby's current contract is set to expire or if there are talks of renewal.
In 2013, Bobby joined a reality show under YG Entertainment titled WIN: Who Is Next while he was a trainee of the agency. A year later, he emerged as the first place winner in rap competition Show Me The Money 3.
He later on debuted as a member of boy group iKON in 2015. He also has a sub-unit with fellow iKON member Mino, called MOBB. He has released two solo albums, Love and Fall (2017) and Lucky Man (2021).
In August 2021, Bobby announced that he is getting married. A month later, the couple welcomed their son.
Earlier this year, in May, iKON returned with their fourth mini album FLASHBACK.
