Hindi na lang pwedeng matutunan ang mga leksyon online, dahil magtuturo na rin ang ilang teacher-broadcaster sa telebisyon simula Setyembre.

Ayon sa 24 Oras report, magpapalabas sa telebisyon ang Department of Education (DepEd) ng learning program at ang mga host nito ay mga tunay guro ang mapapanood sa telebisyon at sumailalim pa nga raw ang mga ito sa audition para maging teacher-broadcaster.

“Dapat may mastery talaga sa subject dahil kinakailangan ang ating delivery kahit nakapikit po 'yan ay kaya po nilang ibigay ang instructions.

“Kinakailangan mayroon po silang personality na 'yun po 'yung magdadala sa kanila para maitawid nila 'yung program,” lahad ni Mark Anthony C. Sy, head ng ICTS-Educational Technology Unit ng DepEd.

Ang mga napiling guro ay sinanay pa ng mga media practitioner at mga kilalang broadcaster.

Sa kasalukuyan ay mayroon nang 27 teacher-broadcasters na handa nang magturo sa telebisyon mula kinder hanggang Grade 12 simula Setyembre.

Wala raw extra bayad ang mga teacher-broadcaster at sila mismo ang susulat at magpo-produce ng kanilang mga show.

Such an honor to be the lead trainer for the Deped's Teacher Broadcaster program together with my mentor Luchi Cruz Valdes and one of the best executive producers and project managers Margie Cabanayan-Natividad. Almost a thousand people will be trained in television production on and off camera. Conducting a workshop while practicing proper social distancing and having everyone tested is indeed a challenge, but everything went according to plan with no hiccups whatsoever. This is just the beginning of their journey as teacher broadcasters and I look forward to seeing them on television teaching their lessons very soon!

Samantala, target umano ng DepEd na magkaroon ng 182,000 teacher-broadcaster bago magtapos ang taon.

Mapapanood ang DepEd TV simula Setyembre 1 mula 8:00 ng umaga hanggang 6:00 ng gabi sa iba't ibang channels kabilang na ang GMA Affordabox.

“Isa na po doon ang GMA. Soon sa Affordabox po ng GMA 'yan mapapanood,” sabi pa ni Mark Anthony.
