Imelda Papin's daughter, Noble Queen of the Universe-International Maffi Papin Carrion insists that her mom's new song “Iisang Dagat” is about unity, solidarity, and healing.

Noble Queen of the Universe-International titelholder Maffi Papi Carrion, daughter of Imelda Papin, came to the defense of her mom and addressed bashers of “Iisang Dagat.”

Maffi insisted that the song which received more dislikes than support on YouTube is a song about unity, solidarity, and healing.

She wrote on Twitter, “I cannot be more disgusted by Filipinos reacting to a song by my Mom based on unity which is the only intention of my Mom! This is for covid. Nothing more nothing less!”

She interpreted the song for the bashers, saying, “This is a time of crisis! Be thankful for blessings and not shout out hate! The Philippines is God's country. Iisang dagat, “one sea.” Meaning as a human race we live as one, we fight as one and we survive as one!”

Maffi also called out her mom's haters, referring to their act as “the biggest form of bullying.”

Imelda's “Iisang Dagat” was released on April 23. The song drew mostly negative reactions for its allusion to the West Philippine Sea controversy. Some netizens went so far as to say the song was a "propaganda" and "disgusting."

At this writing, the music video uploaded in Chinatown TV YouTube page has 100K dislikes.
