Inka Magnaye

While Inka Magnaye may look flawless to others, she reveals that she's not as what people think.

Since many people find flawlessness attractive, they always notice it in other people. However, viral voice artist Inka Magnaye said that people are too preoccupied with their own flaws that they fail to see that others have them also.

In an Instagram post, Inka shared an empowering story about flawlessness. She mentioned that she was on the beach and asked the girl beside her to jump in and take a swim, to which the girl replied that she can't because she was too embarrassed about her stretchmarks and cellulite.

Inka's response was “So do I.”

“That's the exchange that always comes to mind when someone compliments my 'flawlessness.' Dark knees and elbows, dry skin, lines on my underarms, patchy pigmentation, stretch marks, and all these things that prevent us from doing things we want to do,” she said.

She added that one user left a comment in one of her videos expressing her wish to wear shorts in public which she can't do because of her dark knees.

“If you've seen me in shorts out in public, I promise you I have them all. You just don't notice because we're usually too preoccupied with our own 'flaws' to notice them in others.”

Netizens commented on the viral voice actor's post, saying that people tend to have a standard for what is flawless in the Philippines.

“Kasi sa Pilipinas parang yung mga sexy lang, makinis, ma puti ang may karapatan magsuot ng bikini. Kapag hindi ka belong people will tell you oi mahiya ka naman,” a netizen posted.

Another netizen posted that people tend to discourage others by stating their flaws.

Others, meanwhile, expressed their thanks for giving them the courage to do things they usually avoid, or how they felt less insecure about their own bodies.

Aside from her freelance work, Inka also starred in the hit Philippine adaptation Start-Up PH as the voice of Tristan Hernandez's AI.
