Recently, Palawan ranked 8th in Big 7 Travel's “50 most beautiful places” in the world.
The recognition is just one of the many accolades earned by Palawan year in, year out.
This is also the reason why many big-named celebrities and personalities make it a point to stop by in Palawan to experience its charm and beauty.
Over the years, international celebrities have been spotted on the island for some much-deserved holiday.
Just some of these names include Tom Cruise, Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Beyonce have set foot on the paradise-like island.

The multi-awarded singer sneaked in a visit to Amanpulo in Palawan after wrapping up her Charmbracelet Tour in 2003 in Manila. Instead of leaving the country, Mariah took a detour to stay at the luxurious Palawan resort. We bet she had a fantastic time fit for a diva!
Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz

The two stars made the most out of their Manila visit with a quick escape to El Nido in Palawan. Both Jeremy and Rachel were in the country in 2012 to shoot a few scenes for the movie, The Bourne Legacy.

Pretty Little Liars stars Shay Mitchell and Troian visited the island on separate occasions. Shay visited in January 2019 and stayed at the El Nido Resorts.
She wrote about her visit: “Fantastic vistas, incredible food, luxurious accommodations, and a staff who are warm, professional and cater to your every wish. In a word, 'paradise!'”
Troian, meanwhile, visited the island later that year with her boyfriend, Patrick Adams. Patrick was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the place that he wrote on social media: “Not leaving. Not ever.”

“I think I died and went to heaven.” This was Hollywood actress Margot Robbie's caption on her Instagram during a visit to El Nido in 2015. The Australia native, who starred in The Wolf of Wall Street and portrayed Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, posted a picture of her happily submerged in the island's turquoise blue waters.
Aside from relaxing, Margot's visit also saw her cooking meals for less fortunate children in support of non-profit organization Rise Above Foundation.

Filipino-American Darren Criss took his wife Mie Swier to El Nido, Palawan for a summer escapade in 2019.
The actor, known for his role Blaine Anderson in the TV musical Glee, happily posted a photo of him with his wife with El Nido's mesmerizing view as their backdrop.
Bill Gates

The Microsoft founder reportedly visited Palawan with his family in 2015. The Gates family spent three days on the picturesque island, staying in the luxury private resort Amanpulo before making a trip to El Nido to check the place.
Gates, one of the world's richest men, was said to be planning to invest in the island at the time. The tech billionaire would then fly to Manila to visit the International Rice Research Institute in Laguna, which he is one of the investors.
