Isa sa mga rising stars ng Kapuso Network, kasama si Glaiza sa grupong CoverGirls ng "SOP Fully Charged."
Isa si Glaiza de Castro sa mga rising stars ng Kapuso Network, and together with four other girls who are considered triple threats, they make up the CoverGirls of "SOP Fully Charged." Meet SOP Fully Charged's CoverGirls--Heart Evangelista, Carla Abellana, Bianca King, Lovi Poe and Glaiza de Castro. Glaiza describes their group as role models for today's youth, describing their image as "kung ano 'yung dapat i-project ng mga kabataan ngayon." And these are? "Confidence [and] attitude, pero hindi naman puro ganoon lang," she tells iGMA.tv The CoverGirls sing, dance and act. What's different with their SOP Fully Charged segment is the fact that "parang we came straight from a magazine cover kaya puro project-project." Pero as the segment evolves, Glaiza thinks marami pang aabangan ang viewers ng Sunday Concert TV. For sure, "iba't ibang production numbers [ang gagawin] namin every Sunday." Isa sa mga descriptions sa CoverGirls is the phrase "triple threats." Glaiza says she's happy with this moniker, because "’yun din nga 'yung gusto namin. Hindi lang isang field 'yung kaya naming gawin or puntahan." To the uninitiated, the term triple threat is used for artists who can sing, dance and act, and do all three well. Kaya naman Glaiza is hoping they would succeed in their music venture din. Sa kanyang pagsabak bilang isang CoverGirl, natanong namin si Glaiza kung preparation na rin ba niya ito para sa kanyang susunod na project, ang Diva, and she tells us that in a way, it is. Picture perfect "Siguro, oo." Inamin ni Glaiza na malaki raw talaga ang naitutulong ng CoverGirls production numbers sa kanyang preparation bilang isang Diva. For example, "hindi ako ma-project, hindi ako masyado ma-poise, and [sa CoverGirls] lumalabas 'yung feminine side ko talaga. Unti-unti ko lang nadi-discover." Glaiza says kung noon raw ay wala siyang pakialam sa kilos at salita niya, na medyo boyish siya, ngayon talagang binabantayan na niya ang mga galaw niya, lalo na sa mga performances. "Gusto nila dito sa CoverGirls, feminine talaga--'yung every time na magpo-pose ka, parang magpo-pose ko sa isang photo shoot." Minsan nga raw, talagang pinaghahandaan niya 'yung mga pose niya. "Pero minsan, hinahayaan ko na lang 'yung sarili ko kung saan ako dalhin ng pose ko." Isa ring preparation for Glaiza ang looks na pinagagawa sa kanila bilang CoverGirls. "Medyo madugo," Glaiza admits. Gusto raw kasi ng SOP Fully Charged na laging maganda, at laging bago ang dating nila every time lumalabas sila sa TV. "Ikaw 'yung tinitignan, 'di ba? Ikaw 'yung representative e. So we have to look good." Nagpapasalamat na lang daw si Glaiza na ang kanyang team sa make-up and hair, "Talagang nag-iisip sila ng something new, 'yung hindi pa nakikita masyado. Kasi usually pare-pareho 'yung mga itsura ng mga artista ngayon, so dito, may variety." Ano kaya ang susunod na magiging look ni Glaiza and the other CoverGirls?
