Isay talks about transitioning from theater to TV.

In an interview with thespian Isay Alvarez, the actress talked about how she was able to adjust from being on stage to acting for TV.

She narrated, “Right now, there’s not much difference, only [for TV] there’s the camera [while for theater] there’s the live audience. Pagka-theater ‘yung ginagawa mo, laging mas malaki or exaggerated. Now kasi, ‘yung theater now, mas more realistic. So it’s easier for the actor to translate that to film, or to this kind of medium. Sa television, hindi na ganun kalaki 'yung adjustment. Adjustment mo na lang talaga is the camera. Well, that’s me, I don’t know about the others.”

The actress will be part of GMA’s upcoming teleserye, Someone to Watch Over Me, starring Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe, directed by Direk Maryo J. de los Reyes.

Isay added how much she’s anticipating working with the veteran director. She gushed, “I’m just so excited to be working with Direk Maryo kasi first time ko to work with him.”
