In a heartfelt letter, Lee Ji-han's mother poured out her feelings for her late son.

After 24-year-old Korean singer Lee Ji-han tragically passed away from the crowd crush in the October 29 Itaewon tragedy, his mother released a heartbreaking letter through Lee Ji-han's Instagram account, which was also shared with the Democratic Party of Korea in hopes of more probes into the tragedy.

"I'm Ji-han's mom, I wrote a letter like this just in case Ji Han could read it somewhere," she said in her Instagram post.

"I wanted to share this with everyone so that an event like this never happens again."

Prior to passing away, Lee Ji-han was taking part in an upcoming drama titled Season of Kkokdu, starring actor Kim Jung-hyun and actress Im Soo-hyang. Lee Ji-han was cast as Im Soo-hyang's ex-boyfriend

"You worked hard and put in a lot of effort before filming Season of Kkokdu. You didn't skip a day of exercise, and I always felt so sad that you were controlling your diet because I used to hear you say so many times, 'Mom, can I eat more of this?' It was finally time for the effort to pay off, and the show was about to air. What a bolt out of the blue. I still can't believe it because what happened is so dumbfounding," Lee Ji-han's mother wrote, including photos of him as a baby.

She also revealed how her son worried about being a burden, so he made sure to earn his own money. He also participated in volunteer work and did good deeds.

Lee Ji-han's mother also expressed her anguish over the tragedy and her son's untimely death.

"I'm so angry and resentful. I love you, son. I respect you, son. I miss you, son. Good job, son. Can't we see each other again? God, take me instead and return our Ji Han. I beg you. I hope you are doing well there, son, comfortably and painlessly. Mom will follow you someday. To my treasure, Ji-han. From Mom."
