
Korean stars IU and Park Bo-gum are starring together in a K-drama for the first time in When Life Gives You Tangerines (working title).
The upcoming drama follows the story of strong-willed Ae-sun (IU) and quiet and responsible Gwan-sik (Park Bo-gum).
Set in 1950s Jeju Island, the show features a slow-burn romance between Ae-sun and Gwan-sik.
On January 30, Netflix Korea introduced the show's cast and crew, "Starring IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, and Park Hae-joon, 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' (working title) traces the adventures of Ae-sun, “the remarkable rebel” from Jeju Island, and Gwan-sik, “the unyielding iron.”

Netflix Korea added, "Produced by Kim Won-suk (Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Signal, My Mister) and written by Lim Sang-chun (Fight for My Way, When the Camellia Blooms)."
Earlier this month, IU released her single "Love Wins All" featuring BTS's V in the post-apocalyptic music video. She is scheduled to visit the Philippines in June for a solo concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum has also been confirmed for Good Boy (working title), an action comedy series co-starring Kim So-hyun.
