
South Korean singer and actress IU is officially coming back to the music scene, the idol announced on Thursday, May 15, on her social media accounts.
IU's newest album Flower Bookmark 3 is slated for release on May 27, 2025, at 6 p.m. (KST) on various streaming platforms.
Together with the announcement was a nostalgic teaser photo where IU posed beside a payphone on the streets.
She also released a 54-second video teaser that showed montages of a payphone with IU answering calls in the background.

According to Soompi and other Korean news outlets, IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, confirmed that Cha Eun Woo is set to appear in IU's new music video.
“Cha Eun Woo will be making a cameo appearance,” Soompi quotes EDAM Entertainment.

IU first released Flower Bookmark in 2014 and did a follow up in 2017. It consisted of remakes of classic Korean songs like "My Old Story" (Jo Deok-bae, 1985), "Flower" (Kim Kwang-seok, 1991), "Pierrot Smiles at Us" (Kim Wan-sun, 1990), "Autumn Morning" (Yang Hee-eun, 1991), "Last Night Story" (Sobangcha, 1988), "Sleepless Rainy Night" (Kim Gun-mo, 1990), "Secret Garden" (Lee Tzsche, 2003), and more.
Meanwhile, the tracklist for Flower Bookmark 3 is yet to be confirmed.
Before making her comeback this May, IU recently starred in the hit Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines with Park Bo-gum.
