IU and Post Malone

IU reacted to posts about her online in the latest video of 1theK.

After the success of her latest single “Eight,” IU is back on the internet as she reacted to posts about her online, Post Malone following her on Instagram, and her latest collaboration with BTS' Suga.

In a video posted by 1theK, IU searched for posts about herself on social media and landed on her Namu Wiki, a Korean wiki site, and was amazed by how detailed her page looked as contributed by fans.

On the site, she read how American singer Post Malone had followed her on Instagram.

She recalled, “After I was told that Post Malone has followed me, I forgot about it.

“My brother is studying in the United States now. So, I asked him, 'Who is the best in America these days?' and he said it's Post Malone.”

“I said to him, 'I heard that Post Malone has followed me, you know?' and then he went really wild, you know?”

She jested, “I also wanted to show off myself a little bit so I pressed 'Follow' in front of my brother”

IU then laughed as she read fans' comments who had written, “Post Malone is a successful fan.” While another mentioned, “Post Malone's existence is acknowledged by IU.”

The “Blueming” singer then said with a straight face, “I just found out that Post Malone is younger than me.”

After going through her Namu Wiki page, she then looked up DC inside where she checked out what was going on in her fan gallery during the release of her new song that came out on May 6.

She exclaimed, “Oh, IU's 'Eight' got first place in the Philippines real-time trends”

When she moved over to The Qoo, she found a post by a BTS fan who shared a clip from Suga and RM's VLive broadcast where they spoke about the collaboration.

IU responded to the clip, “Suga gave me such a big compliment.

“As he mentioned here, the production process went quickly. We didn't spend a long time thinking hard about it. Suga sent me the track, I wrote the melody and sent it back to him afterward. It worked like that, in one go.

“Then we recorded it right away. I was so thankful.”

IU's “Eight” continues to dominate the charts as it has recently been reported reaching the No.1 spot in realtime charts of Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Sorabida.

She had previously achieved the same standing with her OST for “Crash Landing on You.”
