South Korean soloist IU bids farewell to the tropical season with a heartfelt new single.
After teasing fans just a day before, the singer-actress finally dropped the lyric video for her latest track “Bye, Summer.”
The song beautifully captures the warmth and magic of summer while embracing the bittersweet feeling of letting go. As the season shifts, IU ties her goodbye to memories of love and healing that feel just like summer itself.
The lyric video highlights this story with vibrant art in shades of orange, yellow, and green--radiating the heat and joy of the season.
Scenes of a girl and boy creating summer memories intertwine with breathtaking illustrations of starry skies and gentle rain showers, perfectly balancing nostalgia with renewal.
As of writing, the video has already garnered over 500,000 views and 50,000 likes on YouTube.
For fans, “Bye, Summer” marks a special surprise. It comes just months after IU released her mini-album "A Flower Bookmark, Pt. 3" in May, and shortly after she starred in the hit K-drama series When Life Gives You Tangerines alongside Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, and Park Hae-joon.
