IV of Spades is giving fans something new to listen to as the band unexpectedly releases its latest single, “Isang Pag-ibig.”
Accompanying the song is a music video that showcases the band performing in different settings, including a rooftop and a tunnel. The visual also features vibrant, funky graphics that complement the track.
“Isang Pag-ibig” explores a relationship that falls somewhere short of being called love. The song features vocalists Unique Salonga and Zild Benitez, who convey the story of a complicated connection between two people.
The track is not entirely unfamiliar to longtime followers, as it had previously been uploaded by the OPM group on SoundCloud. It has now been made available as an official release.
The new single follows the band's return to the music scene last year with “Aura,” which marked IV of Spades' comeback after a five-year hiatus.
Since reuniting, the group has continued to expand its musical catalog. In November last year, IV of Spades released Andalucia, a 12-track album featuring songs such as “Kabisado,” “Nanaman,” and “Suliranin.”
The band also reached a new milestone by performing in arenas for the first time in December. This year, they brought their music to different parts of the Philippines through a nationwide tour.
Their international plans are also underway, with IV of Spades scheduled to tour the United States and Canada this October.
In an exclusive interview with GMA News Online, the band previously talked about entering a new phase in their music while continuing to nurture their friendship.
IV of Spades is composed of Unique, Zild, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao De Castro. The group is also known for OPM favorites including “Mundo” and “Come Inside of My Heart.”
