Ivan Mayrina renewed his contract with GMA Network on Friday, September 5, solidifying his legacy as one of the most trusted Kapuso broadcasters.
The contract signing was held at the GMA Network Center Building and was graced by top Kapuso executives, including President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News and GMA Regional TV and Synergy Oliver Amoroso, and Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Division and GMA Integrated News Michelle Seva.
This year also marked a special milestone for the veteran broadcast journalist as he celebrated the 15th anniversary of 24 Oras Weekend, which he joined in 2008.
"Nakita ko how GMA has taken care of me and has led me to this wonderful journey in the last 25 years, from one story to another, day after day, inalagaan ako," Ivan expressed, taking his time to appreciate what he calls his "home" in his 25 years in the industry.
He continued, "What more can one ask for, and in the 25 years, we talk about 25 more. Honestly, with how I've been treated by GMA, I don't see myself being anywhere else."
The broadcast journalist said that he will continue to stand for what is right and uphold trustworthy journalism with GMA, and will go even further with the Filipino people to continue sharing the brand of journalism.
Over the years, Ivan has become a familiar face in several notable Kapuso news programs such as Unang Hirit, Balitanghali, Unang Balita, 24 Oras Weekend, and Saksi.
