Nowadays, conversations increasingly highlight the importance of respect and proper behavior toward women.
These topics have become even more relevant as people celebrate this year's Women's Month.
In a recent vlog, actress-influencer Ivana Alawi shared her thoughts alongside Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 stars Caprice Cayetano and Krystal Mejes.
During a question-and-answer segment, the trio addressed how to respond to individuals who objectify women.
Ivana was the first to speak, calling out the common tendency to judge women based on their clothing.
"For me, you can wear whatever you want. Hindi kami dapat mag-seek ng approval n'yo. You just have to have the right mindset and respect for everyone," she said.
Caprice echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that respect should extend to everyone.
"Gusto ko lang din po i-add. Hindi lang sa babae, kundi sa lahat ng tao—na isipin mo, 'yung iniisip mo, iniisip din 'yun ng ibang tao. Kailangan respeto talaga sa lahat," she shared.
Meanwhile, Krystal highlighted how social media has also contributed to the issue.
"Nowadays, people get so comfortable, especially on social media. They feel more comfortable commenting whatever they want kasi hindi naman reachable 'yung babae," the Kapamilya star explained.
She also stressed that women should not be judged for their choices or appearance.
"At saka sasabihin nila na, 'Ah, kasi you're wearing that.' Alam mo 'yun, parang we're allowed to wear whatever we want and do whatever we want. Just because we're women doesn't mean we can't or that we're not allowed to. We're not asking for your permission or validation.
"How do you treat your mothers? 'Yun lagi kong sinasabi sa brothers ko kasi I have two brothers. Sabi ko, 'If may nasaktan kayong babae, isipin n'yo na lang na you guys are hurting me.'"
To conclude the discussion, Ivana shared an empowering message for women.
"Especially now that it's Women's Month, we should really speak up and always empower other women," she said.
The vlog collaboration featured the trio bonding over street food while engaging in a meaningful conversation.
Meanwhile, Caprice ended the recent PBB season as the Kapuso Big Winner alongside Kapamilya star Lella Ford. Krystal also placed 2nd Big Placer alongside Kapuso star Heath Jornales.
