In her "Can't Say No Challenge" vlog, Ivana Alawi takes Katrina Halili's daughter to a shopping date.
Ivana Alawi's latest vlog took a heartwarming turn as she welcomed special guests Katrina Halili and her daughter Katie for a day filled with laughter, bonding, and generous surprises.
On her YouTube vlog, Ivana showed her "Can't Say No Challenge" day, where she would buy anything Katie wanted.
Ivana shared her history with Katrina Halili, recalling that her younger sister, Mona Alawi, once worked with the actress.
"Nagkuwento sa akin si Mona na napakabait niyo raw sa kanya. Kasi sa first show ni Mona, nagkasama sila ni Ate Kat."
They started their shopping day at a toy store, where Katie asked her mom before choosing any toys. Ivana, clearly touched by Katie's respectful nature, encouraged her to pick whatever she liked.
"Kahit prices chini-check niya," Ivana said, noticing Katie's choices in toys, avoiding overconsumption.
By the end of their shopping trip, Katie had selected PhP64,000 worth of toys, an amount Ivana happily covered without hesitation.
The biggest surprise, however, came when Katie mentioned she wanted a new iPhone. Without any doubt, Ivana said yes, bringing more happiness to Katie.
Katrina, moved by the unexpected act of generosity, thanked Ivana for her kindness. Ivana responded with equal warmth, expressing admiration for how Katrina raised Katie to be a kind and sweet daughter.
Katrina shared how being more hands-on in raising Katie helped her manage her Autism Spectrum Disorder symptoms.
"Kasama ko siya, nung first, second, third day niya wala akong taping so nandoon ako sa school. Tinuturuan ko siya maglinis," Katrina said.
Ivana asked how Katrina maintains her schedule being a caring mom and an actress.
"Actually, nae-enjoy ko talaga. Kapag wala si Katie, kulang. So, hindi ko alam," Katrina confessed.
She also added that she loves having Katie by her side. "Hindi ko masabi kung paano ko hina-handle, basta kailangan ko siya."
Ivana added, "Tinanong ko nga si Mona, 'Mabait ba si Ate Kat?' sabi niya sobrang bait, down-to-earth-kalog, humble."
Katrina credits Katie for inspiring her kindness; it's her daughter who brings out the best in her.
"Maswerte ako kay Katie, akala nila ganyan na si Katie. Marami din pong paghihirap."
