Last week, during the taping of a
Nuts Entertainment segment, Iwa Moto fainted and was taken to a hospital. Immediately, speculations grew wild and a long-running rumor was brought to life again: was
Iwa Moto pregnant?
On
Showbiz Central last Sunday, Iwa explained that at the time, no one can say what exactly happened. But for sure, she denied that she was pregnant. "Hindi ako buntis, friends!"
"Kasi may challenge kami na magka-carwash girl ako," the feisty
StarStruck alumna began. "Tutulong ako sa mga carwash boy na mag-carwash. Tapos naka-posas kaming pareho. Habang nagbabanlaw kami (ng ikalawang kotse) bigla akong nahilo. Tapos nag-blackout na 'yung paningin ko. Tapos nagulat na lang ako, nakaupo na ako doon sa silya."
The shoot was in Mandaluyong, and the actress was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. After checking her blood pressure and heart rate, the doctors still couldn't give a sure answer as to what could've happened. And even during the check-up, Iwa's knees and feet were shaking involuntarily.
"One month pa lang akong nao-operahan," Iwa continued. "So hindi pa ako fully-recovered, hindi pa nga ako pwedeng magtata-talon or whatever."
According to Iwa, her doctors had told her she may be deficient in potassium--mostly because her lower body was going numb. "Ang sinabi lang sa akin ng doctor ko, kumain lang raw ako ng saging at 'wag raw akong magi-stress, 'wag masyadong maglilikot..."
Happy that whatever was wrong was now over, Iwa went back to her usual exuberant self. She even left a message for those spreading the rumors that she's pregnant. "Siguro mga after five years, hintayin niyo. Ako pa mismo ang maga-announce na buntis ako."
