“I had an ultrasound, but specified to the doctor/sonologists to not reveal the gender to me! I then asked for them to make clear and indicate what the gender was on the actual ultrasound picture. The picture was then sealed and handed to my trusted friend Hannah Olives who then set the whole gender reveal up!” she posted on Instagram.

Her family and close friends weren’t the only ones ecstatic to find out the baby’s gender, but also Drew and herself as well. “I must admit! It was soooo much fun!!!” Iya exclaimed.

The Kapuso star encouraged other pregnant women to be creative with unveiling the gender of their baby as well, “[You] can have a lot of fun with a gender reveal outdoors and include coloured powder bombs or water guns or can have one as simple as mine indoors. Either way, it's fun and exciting.”

She thanked her awesome friends for the exciting surprise which made their day as well as the people who were there to witness their event as first-time parents.

WARNING! Long caption ahead ???? Last Sunday we had a pretty radical day with close family and friends as we discovered the gender of #BabyA ???????? At first I really wasn't too keen on it but then later as I got more excited about discovering BabyA's gender, decided to have a simple reveal at home ???? Sometimes the surprise is for the guests or sometimes for the parents, but in this case the surprise was for EVERYONE! Including @drewarellano and I ???? This is how it worked: I had an ultrasound but specified to the Doctor/sonologists to not reveal the gender to me! ???? I then asked for them to make clear and indicate what the gender was on the actual ultrasound picture. The picture was then sealed and handed to my trusted friend @hannah_olives who then set the whole gender reveal up! ???? I must admit! It was soooo much fun!!! ?? For other preggos out there, go and have a #GenderReveal! U can have a lot of fun with a gender reveal outdoors and include coloured powder bombs or water guns or can have one as simple as mine indoors ???? Either way, it's fun and exciting ???? so thank you so much @hannah_olives and @hashazey for keeping the secret and going the extra mile turning it all into an arts and crafts project ???? Love you guys!!! It really made our day ?? to all the friends who came over... Thank you! And to the momma in law for the lasagna and my momma who cooked all that amazing food... I love you! ?????? #JunJun #PingPing #GenderRevealParty #BabyA
