After Jose Mari Chan, it's Jackie Chan's turn to dance the e-commerce platform's catchy jingle.

In the previous years, when Jackie Chan trended on Twitter, it was because people were curious about the death hoax about him.

But it was different story when he became a trending topic on Twitter PH yesterday, August 19.

The Hong Kong actor-director easily gained traction on social media after he was introduced as the newest brand ambassador of the popular e-commerce platform, Shopee.

"I was worried when I saw Jackie Chan trending that he died," says Twitter user @robcham, retweeting Jackie's new TV ad.

Jackie even delighted Filipino fans with his moves as he danced to its LSS-inducing jingle and his Tagalog skills when he invited shoppers to join the 9.9 Super Shopping Day.

"I enjoy putting a smile on people's faces. It's exciting to partner with Shopee to celebrate the action-packed year-end festival and bring more joy to my fans and users.

"I had a lot of fun working with Shopee and I think people of all ages will enjoy the activities and content that we have prepared together. I hope everyone can join us to make the year-end shopping season a memorable one," said the 67-year-old martial artist in a statement.

Meanwhile, local fans also request for Jackie to collaborate with the "Father of Philippine Christmas" Jose Mari Chan, who is also a brand ambassador of the online shopping platform.

Apart from Jackie Chan and Jose Mari Chan, other local celebrity endorsers of the e-commerce platform were Manny Pacquiao, Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Willie Revillame, and Kris Aquino.
