PBA slaps Arwind Santos with P200-k fine over 'monkey gesture' at Terrence Jones

In a lengthy Instagram post, the celebrity mom, whose son Kobe Paras is a promising talent of the UP Fighthing Maroons men's basketball team, called Arwind 'ignorant'.

She added that the PBA star should have “more empathy,” because even Filipinos across the world are also victims of racism and hate.

Jackie said, “Someone needs a bitch slap. Ignorant ignorant ignorant.

“Please use your money to go travel the world so you learn to undo all the damage you have inside your heart.

“If you also knew how much racism Filipinos face in all corners of the world you would have more empathy and understanding... WE TOO ARE BROWN!

“Money obviously doesn't buy class.

“This kind of behavior upsets me so much. Unapologetic pa??”

Kobe Paras commented on his mom's post saying that he was 'lucky' that he got the chance to interact and learn more about African Americans when he staying in Los Angeles, California.

Meanwhile, Jackie got into a heated discussion with a netizen, who questioned Kobe's statement about being raised African-Americans in L.A.

Jackie reasoned, “Yes raised, he grew up in his crucial team years- (high school) in Cathedral Highschool raised by an African-American couple, he was partially raised by me until he was 6, his father until he was 14 then he moved to the US and that couple practically had guardship over Kobe.”

In a report by GMA News Online, the Philippine Basketball Association slapped Arwind Santos with a P200,000 fine and 100 hours of community service for his racial taunt against Jones.
