GOT7 member and soloist Jackson Wang is once again captivating audiences with the release of his latest single and music video titled “Leave Me Loving You.”
In the more than 4-minute track, fans see Jackson as a dishwasher in a restaurant who falls in love with a customer since the day she entered the door.
Though at first it may seem like a romance is blooming between the two characters, it turns out that it was all just happening in the singer's head, with the video ending with the girl getting married to another man.
The simple love story was directed, produced, and scripted by Jackson Wang, with the intention for it to have the same treatment as his 2020 pop track “Pretty Please” with Galantis.
He explains in the behind-the-scenes footage, “For the music video, I came up with the treatment that follows my previous release, 'Pretty Please.'
“It's still in the time zone of '90s Hong Kong Chinese movie style. However, the way I decided to shoot the video, it's more towards movie structure this time rather than the musical and choreo performances like I always do.”
Jackson adds, “The storyline of 'Leave Me Loving You' is another love story.
“I'm playing the role of a dishwasher in a restaurant and I have fallen in love with this girl since the day she came in. Everything about this love story only happened in my mind. It's my imagination and it never happened because she didn't know me.
“In the end she gets married. It's a simple story but very interesting to shoot it in a different style this time.”

This is not the first time fans were able to catch a glimpse of the music video being done by Jackson.
In an episode of the Korean entertainment program Omniscient Interfering View, the Hong-Kong native brought audiences around Seoul as he navigated his busy schedule as a music producer and CEO of Team Wang.
