Congratulations, Ms. Jaclyn Jose and Ms. Jenny Ferre of 'Eat Bulaga!'

Veteran actress Jaclyn Jose and Eat Bulaga’s creative head Jenny Ferre are among the recipients of the 2016 Global Pinoy Award, given by Mega Magazine during the 7th Pinoy Pride Ball, its Independence Day celebration.

Jaclyn Jose, who appears in the Kapuso network through The Millionaire’s Wife and A1 Ko Sa’yo, brought pride to the Philippines when she bagged the Cannes Film Festival 2016 Best Actress Award for Brillante Mendoza’s Ma’ Rosa

"Akala ko sosyalan lang," a surprised Jaclyn Jose jabs at the audience as she receives her award for bringing the nation a trove of pride on the global film stage. "Maraming Salamat sa parangal," she finishes. #TheNewPH #TheNewPhUnite #MegaNation

Jenny Ferre, meanwhile, was instrumental to the phenomenon known as AlDub and has helped redefine the television and advertising industries. Through her genius, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are two of the biggest stars today, and the noontime show Eat Bulaga is recognized in different parts of the world.

The quick wit and split-second decision making skills of Jenny Fere has catapulted the Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime show to blaze trails on the social media plane–one that has surprised even themselves. Today, the #AlDub phenomenon owes its roots to this genius of a woman, a true champion of the hardworking people working behind-the-scenes in television. #TheNewPH #TheNewPHUnite #MEGANation
