Actress Jade Lopez became a mom after giving birth to her daughter Rinoa Sapphire Siccion on February 26, 2020.
The good news was shared by the actress on an Instagram post yesterday, March 3.
On the photo, Jade is seen cradling her newborn at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Hospital in Manila.
She wrote, “It's a baby girl!!! Rinoa Sapphire Siccion born February 26, 2020.
“She's finally home after 7 days at the NICU. Today's the first time her dad got to hold her.
“[This] picture was taken during our KMC moment at the NICU when she was two days old.”
According to healthline.com, the KMC or Kangaroo Mother Care is a special method of care of low birth weight babies or infants with less than 2500 grams.
As the name suggests Kangaroo Mother Care consists of keeping the baby in close skin-to-skin contact with his or her mother as practiced by female kangaroos for their babies.
It benefits the baby by keeping the baby warm, promoting and sustaining breastfeeding, decreasing the risk of infection, and a bonding moment between the baby and the mother.
Meanwhile, celebrity friends including Charee Pineda, Max Collins and Pancho Magno, Cristine Reyes, and Rich Asuncion congratulated Jade in the comments section.
On February 17, Jade shocked everyone with a nearly-naked photo showing off her huge baby bump and even captioned it with “Almost there.”
It was September of last year when the actress exclusively shared with GMANetwork.com that she is pregnant with husband Rocky Siccion.
Congratulations, Jade!
