Jade Lopez shared the story behind her daughter Rinoa Sapphire's unique name in a short video of her baptism.
StarStruck alumna Jade Lopez shared a short video showing the baptism of her first baby Rinoa Sapphire.
Rinoa Sapphire was baptized at the Mt. Carmel Shrine in New Manila.
As per new normal protocols, only a few people were present during the baptism including her, her husband Rocky Siccion, a priest and a few guests.
In the video, Jade also shared the story behind her baby's unique name.
"Since Rocky is a fan of Final Fantasy, we said we would name our first daughter after the character of Rinoa," Jade shares.
Rinoa Heartilly is one of the characters in Final Fantasy VIII, a role-playing game released in 1999.
"Rinoa's character is compassionate, warm and friendly. She is loyal to her friends and committed to doing what she thinks is right. She is beautiful, caring, charming and courageous," Jade explains.
She added that they chose "Sapphire" because they wanted to pattern their daughter's name after theirs.
"We also named her after a stone just like our names, Jade and Rocky," she says.

Rinoa Sapphire was born in February 26, 2020 and to stay at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for seven days.
She is the first child of Jade and Rocky who tied the knot back in October 22, 2018.
