In his guest appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Jak Roberto sat down with Boy Abunda to talk about how he became the ultimate leader of the so-called Anti Selos Club.

The Anti-Selos Club is the fictional club made online by netizens who are amazed by Jak's ability to keep his composure and professionalism despite his actress girlfriend Barbie Forteza being paired up with another leading man, David Licauco.

Barbie and David's love team first blew up in the GMA show Maria Clara at Ibarra and is now set to embark on another project Maging Sino Ka Man.

The Anti-Selos Club further got traction at the height of the GMA Gala 2023 where Barbie, David, and Jak walked the red carpet on their own.

On Monday, August 21, The Missing Husband actor told Boy, “Nagsimula sa social media lang eh. Kasi kung hindi ako nagkakamali, noong GMA Gala ito na parang naglakad kami ng solo ako, si Barbie, and si David. So parang iyong mga tao, since partner si David and si Barbie ngayon sa mga shows akala nila magkasabay na maglalakad sa red carpet. So, nauna kasi ako, after noon parang nag-flood na ng comments na, 'Hala, bakit mag-isa lang siya?'”

Jak explained though that they did the same thing last year to put the emphasis on their outfits more. He said, “Yes po. Actually, last year ganoong iyong ginawa namin para talagang mas ma-emphasize iyong suot, mas madetalyehan pa rin.”

Jak also recently visited Jose Rizal University (JRU) to hop in on the fun of the Anti-Selos Club and entertained fans.

He shared, “Naimbitahan lang po tayo kasi mayroon nga po tayo na trend na JRU which is iyong meme noong sa akin na Jak Roberto University parang sinakyan din iyon ng mga tao na 'hoy i-guest ninyo si Jak sa Jose Rizal University kasi JRU.' And iyong Jose Rizal University is part po ng NCAA natin since sa GMA na po yung NCAA. So parang nagpunta lang po ako doon to join them and magpasaya lang, mag hi hello, and sakyan iyong trend by request nila.”

When Boy straight up asked Jak if there was a time that he got jealous, he admitted, “Hindi po ako nagseselos, Tito Boy. Mula't mula po. Siya po [Barbie] hindi rin kasi sa amin Tito Boy parang sabi ko nga siguro kaya nagkataon na pareho kaming artista kasi I think kung parang non-showbiz or hindi related sa showbiz iyong magiging karelasyon namin ang hirap talaga ipaintindi. So for me sa relasyon ko na iyong girlfriend ko artista, ako rin as boyfriend niya, artista, naiintindihan namin iyong work namin.”

Jak says the key is trust. He explained, “Mahalaga Tito yung trust kasi alam naman namin sa isa't isa na trabaho lang iyon and as long as nagtitiwala kami sa isa't isa na trabaho lang siya wala naman pong parang nagiging problema. Wala po talaga kaming pakielaman sa trabaho po. Kumbaga pareho po kaming aktor pero pagdating sa trabaho, trabaho po. Pero pagdating sa lovelife, lovelife po talaga.”
