Sparkle star Jak Roberto shares why being single helped him grow, focus on his goals, and prioritize self-love.

Kapuso actor-entrepreneur Jak Roberto says he is in no rush to enter a new relationship, sharing that being single helped him focus on personal growth and career goals.

Speaking on the sidelines of his contract renewal with Sparkle GMA Artist Center last December 11, Jak told 24 Oras that staying single allowed him to discover new interests and opportunities.

Jak previously dated Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza for seven years.

“Hindi ko priority. Ang dami kong na-realize nung naging single ako. Mas focused ka sa sarili mo at mas focused ka sa goals mo,” Jak said in an interview with Nelson Canlas.

He added, “Mas marami palang puwedeng gawing negosyo at hobbies na puwedeng i-explore.”

According to the Sparkle star, staying single in 2025 taught him the importance of self-love. He also believes the right person will come at the right time.

“Iba rin 'yung peace na nakukuha mo sa bahay. Sabi nga nila, huwag mong hanapin, antayin mo na lang,” he said.

Aside from managing his restaurant, D'Crib Sizzling House, and his skincare brand, JC Essentials, Jak recently starred in the hit GMA afternoon series My Father's Wife, which concluded in October 2025.

Other Kapuso stars who renewed their contracts with Sparkle include Thea Tolentino and Roy Cabrera. Former talents Bianca King, Gwen Zamora, and Miggs Cuaderno also returned to the agency.

New members of the Sparkle family include Regine Tolentino, Jess Martinez, and Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines 2025 winners Tyrone Tan and Ysa Uy.

GMA Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Legal, Human Resources Development, and Worldwide Group Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes assured Sparkle artists of continued support, saying the agency remains committed to helping talents reach their full potential.

“We will continue to strive to help all the artists of Sparkle and develop them further. And sana mas ma-fulfill pa namin 'yung mga dreams nila—not just for GMA, but lahat ng gusto nila, whether it's in sports or whatever path they want to take to better themselves,” she said.
