Singer and proud trans man Jake Zyrus took to social media to air his frustration regarding some comments of his fans saying they miss the old Charice.

In a lengthy post on his Instagram story, Jake poured his heart out about some of the comments he's been receiving following the release of his new single “Fix Me” a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently, Jake is offended by comments that say they hear his “Charice voice” or that he's bringing back Charice.

Part of his post reads, “I DON'T CARE IF YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO MY CHARICE SONGS ALL DAMN DAY OR IF YOU HEAR MY CHARICE VOICE IN MY FALSETTOS, BECAUSE OF COURSE YOU DUMBA__ MF, BOSES KO PA RIN 'YON. NAG-TRANSITION LANG.

“SABI KO WAG NA PATULAN MGA GANUNG TAO KASI NAGIGING FEELING NA. PERO HINDI KASI BASTOS NA TALAGA ANG IBA.

“OKAY AKO KUNG I-COMPLIMENT MONG NARIRINIG MO KASI TOTOO NAMAN YON. PERO PARA IPANGALANDAKAN MO NA “CHARICE IS COMING BACK” AND ALSO BINABASTOS NA ANG PAGKATAO KO NANG DAHIL LANG DOON, GET YO MF TRANSPHOBIA A__ AWAY FROM ME.”

Jake revealed that he has long kept silent despite feeling insulted on several occasions, just to please the people.

Now, he wants to put an end to it. That's why he's breaking his silence.

“I'VE DONE SOME INTERVIEWS WHERE I'D SAY, OKAY LANG KAHIT SINASABI NILANG NAMIMISS NILA SI CHARICE OR SAYANG MGA NANGYARI BEFORE AND I'D JUST AWKWARDLY SMILE AND TAKE IT JUST BECAUSE I WANTED TO PLEASE THESE MFS.

“NAKAKALITO NA NGA INTERVIEWS KO PARA KAHIT PAPANO DI MASYADO PROBLEMATIC AT

MEDYO PASO PA RIN SA NYETANG STANDARDS NG KARAMIHAN.

“I AM NOT MF OKAY WITH THIS. KASI THE MORE NA SINASABI KONG 'AH, OO OKAY LANG YUN. OKAY LANG NA NAGKAKAMALI SILANG TINATAWAG AKONG CHARICE, OR OKAY LANG NA TANGGAP NILA AKO AS JAKE PERO AS GUSTO NILA AKO PRE-TRANSITIONED, THE MORE NA NAGIGING KAMPANTE ANG IGNORANTENG PALAKA NA BASTUSIN KUNG ANO ANG NAGING DESISYON KO SA BUHAY KO.”

Jake ended his post by sending a message to his real and loyal supporters, as well as those secretly wishing he'll revert to being Charice.

“SALAMAT SA MGA NIRERESPETO ANG MGA NAGAWA KO BEFORE AT NAGAGAWA KO NGAYON.

“SALAMAT KUNG NARIRIRNIG NYO CHARICE VOICE KO YET NAAAPPRECIATE DIN ANG BOSES KO NGAYON.

“SALAMAT SA MGA NANDYAN DAHIL SA MGA NAGAGAWA KO NGAYON.

“PAKYU NAMAN SA MGA NANDYAN LANG DAHIL UMAASANG MAGGA-GOWN ULIT AKO.

“LOVE YOU GUYS!”

In a previous Tunay na Buhay episode, Jake told host Pia Arcangel that he's not worried about his singing voice changing after his transition.

“Hindi po ako nag-worry kasi the only thing that has changed is 'yung key.

“Siyempre po bumaba 'yung boses, mas naging deep.

“Pero the way I sing, the way I perform, the way I send my message--the song messages to the people--para po sa'kin I still sing, I still perform like Charice, and Charice performed like Jake Zyrus.”
