Fast-rising Kapuso love team Jamir Zabarte and Zonia Mejia are giving their all and wholeheartedly embracing the pressure of being cast in the highly-anticipated primetime sitcom Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa.
The Sparkle Sweethearts will act alongside multi-awarded showbiz couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera in this project, which will air its pilot episode tonight, May 14 after Pepito Manaloto.
In an interview with 24 Oras, Zonia shared that it serves as a motivation for both of them, when they learned that they were handpicked by DongYan to be part of this show.
Meanwhile, multi-talented comedian and host John 'Sweet' Lapus, who was tapped to direct Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa, noted that by watching Dingdong and Marian in this sitcom, viewers will get a sneak peek into their lives as a couple off-camera.
You know in a way, pinasilip ni Marian tsaka ni Dingdong ang tunay nilang buhay mag-asawa.”
The lead actress of the primetime sitcom, Marian Rivera, shared her thoughts about this comeback project with her husband.
Dingdong added that he really missed working with his wife. In fact, their last primetime series was My Beloved back in 2012.
“Nare-realize ko na nakaka-miss katrabaho siya, kasi siyempre nag-flashback 'yung lahat ng aming pinagsamahan,” he said.
