She says, “I'll be going to Hong Kong for a quick trip.

“And then my major plan for the summer is to go to New York for the first time. I've never been.”

She chooses her summer travel destination by keeping two things in mind: history and culture.

She shares that her love for visiting places with old architecture, churches, and museums have inspired her to make them the key criteria for picking a place to visit.

“I've always been interested in history and culture. So usually, the cities that really excite me are those that are rich in history - like Barcelona.”

"Older cities like Cebu and Bacolod - those are usually my favorites."

As a self-proclaimed beach lover, Janine mentions that her go-to summer activity would be a trip to the beach to get her dose of vitamin sea.

Her favorite summer spot? “Siargao.”

“I only went once but it was such a magical place for me. It was a mix of all my favorite places in the Philippines, which are Palawan and Boracay.”

“I really love the beach, and then when I went to Siargao, it was just on another level.”
