Kapuso actress and Dragon Lady star Janine Gutierrez is an Earth warrior.

Since becoming an ambassador for World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Philippines, Janine makes sure that she's giving her full efforts to help the environment.

In a video posted on her YouTube channel, a fan asked the Kapuso actress what are her different environmental efforts when it comes to taking care of Mother Earth.

Janine shares that her endeavors when it comes to being sustainable stems from her love for the sea.

“Kasi super mahilig talaga ako mag-beach and I've seen how some people can be so careless when it comes to the environment.”

“As for efforts on a personal level,” she pauses. “I'm still learning talaga when it comes to my house. Kasi, you should also think about what you buy.”

A tip she shares is to learn from other people.

“I'm really trying to learn and I learn from other people.

“If you check the hashtags on Instagram like, '#ecoliving', you'll find a lot of these accounts that can suggest ways to minimize your negative effects on the world.”

“So, I think importante talaga to educate yourself and what you can do. Because everything we do talaga has an effect,” she says.

The Kapuso beauty credits the non-profit organization for constantly educating her about preserving wildlife and reducing the human impact on the environment.

“I'm lucky kasi I work with WWF Philippines.

“We've gone to Donsol, Sorsogon and sobrang galing kasi WWF was able to teach them that they can earn without having to harm the butandings.”

She continues, “Kasi in other parts of the Philippines, they feed the butandings. So, instead of them following their natural migratory patterns they just stay in one place to accommodate the tourists. Which is bad because it messes up the ecosystem.”
