Seasoned actor Janno Gibbs recently took to Instagram and shared his opinion about the partial and unofficial presidential tally results in the 2022 elections.

Janno, one of the celebrities who openly supported Vice President Leni Robredo's presidential bid, posted a quote card on his thought about allegedly being bitter on the election results.

Part of the post read, "Hayaan niyo kaming maging bitter. Let us grieve."

Janno reiterated the last sentence on his caption, "Let us grieve."

Janno is one of the many supporters of losing presidential candidates who experienced sadness over the May 9 election results, and this is normal according to an expert.

In an interview with licensed psychiatrist Dr. Joan Mae Perez-Rifareal on May 12 episode of Unang Hirit, she explained, "Itong time ng post-election, medyo heightened ang emotions ng iba sa ating mga kababayan especially ''pag may loss, 'pag dumadaan tayo sa grieving process or parang kapag may nawala. Be it nawalang opportunity, nawalang plans for the future.

After Janno's post above, he also related in a separate post that he already lost about 4,000 followers due to the elections.

In a quote card, he wrote, “Simula kagabi, 4k na ang nawala sa akin dahil sa mga personal kong mga pananaw sa pulitika.”

Janno is not the only one who experienced this. In fact, a lot of people in social media nowadays are contemplating about "unfriending," "unfollowing," and "blocking" several contacts because of differences in opinion-- and currently in the Philippines, because of politics.

But are these enough reasons to cut ties online?

Dr. Perez-Rifareal shared some tips on how to handle this kind of dilemma.

She said, “Very important sa ngayon, open lines of communication.

Mayroong other options, iha-hide muna natin sila or imu-mute. Maaari pong makatulong 'yun.

"Let's take advantage of other options kasi mas maganda na we remain at ease po with everyone. Aabot din po tayo sa point na tayo ay magkakaisa at magkakaintindihan din po in the end."
