Nang makausap ng iGMA si Janno, we asked for his official statement tungkol sa pagkawala ng weekly gag show.
Isa si Janno Gibbs sa mga regulars ng gag show na "Nuts Entertainment." Last December nawala na ang programa sa ere, without any formal goodbyes sa kanilang mga loyal viewers. As actual fans of the show, lalung-lalo na 'yung segment na Balakubak -- where Janno, together with Anjo Yllana and premier comedian Joey de Leon, dress up as Lollipop, Popsicle and Doughnut -- we just had to ask kung bakit wala nang Nuts Entertainment. "'Yung timeslot kasi masyado nang late. Wala namang problem sa show, sa ratings wala. Masyado lang late. Parang for the effort, parang sayang, sayang for the gastos. And wala namang ibang timeslot kasi ang dami-dami nang shows ng GMA, so…" ang paliwanag ni Janno sa amin. Idinagdag pa niya ang dahilan ng hindi na pormal na pagpapaalam ng cast sa mga viewers: "Baka malungkot lang kami eh. Baka mag-iyakan lang (chuckles) kami. But…matagal din tumakbo yung Nuts and we really had fun," ang sabi ni Janno sa iGMA. Nagbitaw ng pahayag si Janno na we are sure na ikakatuwa din ng mga loyal fans ng Nuts. "Malay mo, later on, bumalik kami in another format naman, di ba? Sa mga nag-enjoy ng Nuts Entertainment, ng “Balakubak,” siguro, baka naman pahinga lang ‘to for a while but I’m sure it will come back, kahit yung Balakubak lang." Bumalik man o hindi ang Nuts Entertainment, we are sure that the show will be remembered as one of the funniest show sa Philippine television.
