When iGMA showed up at the shoot of Janno's second video, we were prepared to laugh our hearts out. But what we saw, was a total surprise. Find out why.
Janno Gibb’s Walang Kadala Dala video was so funny and so him. We just had to be there when he films his second one. But just as there are many facets of him as a comedian, a totally different Janno will be seen in his next video. You just cannot predict what is up his sleeve. Text by KC M. Abalos. Photos by Connie M. Tungul. “I played with what they labeled me, yung babaero na flirty. It’s a novelty song. I played with it.” He explains with a laugh. In the video, one sees Janno with 5 or six gorgeous models. One would assume from the title that it is all about being a player in the field of love. But the singer/comedian clarifies, “If you listen to the song, iyong titles striking. But if you listen to the lyrics. It says, people fall in love. Na-huhurt ka pa rin. Walang Kadala Dala” he states with a shrug. The said video contributed to the continued success of his second album under GMA records entitled Little Boy. So imagine our surprise when a more somber Janno greeted us behind the set of his second video for the song, Ikaw Lang at Ako. “Ikaw Lang at Ako” “Ito iyong song ko for Bing (Loyzaga). It’s to make up for a lot.” He shared with a hint of his signature smile. The public is aware of the many trials that this couple have encountered but they have managed to stay together through the storm. Janno reveals that theirs is a special relationship. He told us that he values Bing’s opinions regarding his career, and his choices in life. According to Janno that this song is very special because “it’s a celebration of how long we’ve been together.” Eighteen years of marriage is certainly cause for celebration especially in showbiz.
