Japanese music artist Tomoro hopes to establish strong fan base in the Philippines.

Japanese rap artist Tomoro looks excited about his recent trip to the Philippines.

Tomoro revisited the country to promote his new single titled “My Section,” which is a collaboration with R&B artist Austine Mahone.

“Philippines is important to me so I came back here. I want to focus my music here in the Philippines, in Japan, and in America.

He added, “I [went] here because I've been here many times. I have many friends here in Manila and Cebu.”

Aside from traveling abroad to promote his music. Tomoro also likes to collaborate with fellow music artists. In fact, before “My Section,” the Japanese rapper collaborated with popular American-Jamaican rapper Sean Kingston for his single called “Let Me Hold You,” which he released last September 2022. He also tapped local actress Arci Muñoz to appear on its music video.

On the other hand, his 2021 single “World Money” featuring hip-hop duo Nice & Smooth became number one on Billboard World Digital Song Sales.

When asked if he has plans to collaborate with Filipino artists, Tomoro immediately said yes because he knows that Pinoys are very passionate about music.

Tomoro is set to release a new song in May, which is a collaboration with another American rapper.
