"Siyempre, hindi siya pwede sa relihiyon namin especially sa women pero, sabi ko, binigay naman sa 'tin ng Diyos 'yung talentong ito para i-showcase natin." - Jawwada

Lanao del Sur native Jawwada has ended her The Clash 2021 journey after failing to advance to the next round of the competition.

She battled with 21-year-old Clasher from Manila, Raffy Roque, in the one-on-one Clash where the judges favored the latter over the Maranao contender.

Jawwada didn't get a second chance in “The Clash Rebound” either after the panel picked Jireh Davidson over her and her fellow eliminated Clasher Abbey Romero.

In the one-one-one Clash, Jawwada performed the Martin Nievera classic "Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap."

Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas liked how Jawwada delivered the lyrics of the song. However, Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista shared a few things that the contestant needed to improve on--voice stability and nerve control.

The Kapuso singer/actor said, "Here are the things you have to improve on: stability when you sing. It has to be stable from the beginning hanggang dulo. And, of course, 'yung nerves kailangan makontrol ang nerbyos at especially kapag nagshi-shift na 'yung notes. Kailangan sakto 'yung note so medyo bitin kasi medyo pitchy kanina."

Nevertheless, judge Christian commended Jawwada, a Muslim, for being brave to join the competition despite of the backlash she received from the Muslim community.

According to Jawwada, music is deemed Haram or forbidden especially for women based on their religion. But despite this, she continued her journey in The Clash 2021 to showcase her talent and to try her luck to become a famous singer.

"Siyempre, hindi siya pwede sa relihiyon namin especially sa women pero, sabi ko, binigay naman sa 'tin ng Diyos yung talento para i-showcase natin kahit na gano'n po 'yung prohibition,” she said.

"Nakita ko na in-encourage ako ng parents ko, very supportive sila. Kumbaga stage mom talaga 'yung mom ko. Gusto kong ipakita na meron ding isang Maranao from Marawi City na may talento, maytpangarap," she added.
