Finance influencer Jax Reyes to all breadwinners: “It's not selfishness to prioritize and pay for yourself.”
Finance content creator Jax Reyes urged breadwinners to think about their future by building their personal savings.
He stressed its importance after a follower shared her financial journey with him via direct messaging.
Jax shared this message from his fan: “I now have 40K in my name!!! May not be that big for others but super laki na to for me na literally savings ko siya.”
He then lauded the netizen for exercising financial discipline.
He said, “Someone messaged me sharing that she's a breadwinner and finally started her P40k savings after earning her degree. Nakaka-proud talaga to see messages like this.
“I will continue to produce finance content for FREE, and make it more accessible sa lahat."

Then, he explained, “Most of the time when you're a breadwinner, our default mindset is 'family first before ourselves.' Like, as soon as salary comes in, already budgeted to pay for electricity, groceries, or tuition of siblings. That's why you can set aside PhP40,000 for your future while supporting them, extreme, that is inspiring. It takes so much discipline, sacrifice, and courage to set those financial boundaries.”
