JC Regino gives love back to his father and uncles' followers and supporters, in appreciation for all their love, with his self-penned song “Idolo.”
Singer-songwriter JC Regino, the son of OPM icon and hitmaker "Idol" April Boy Regino surprises his father and uncles' fans and listeners with another musical treat!
The online music show Spotlight Music Sessions featured rising singer JC Regino as he sings his self-penned song "Idolo" on Friday, March 10.
In an exclusive interview of GMANetwork.com with JC, the Kapuso singer shared the story behind his newest single.
“Ang kantang ito ay para po sa mga tagahanga nina Dad at ng April Boys. Isa itong paraan upang magpasalamat sa pagsisilbi nilang inspirasyon. Kung wala po sila, wala po 'yung April Boys at si April Boy Regino. Tapos kaya 'Idolo' ang title nito dahil ang mga tagahanga ay may iniidolo. Kaya salamat po sa kanila kasi tinangkilik nila 'yung mga awitin. Para sa'min, 'yung mga tagahanga po talaga ang tunay na idolo,” he said.
Meanwhile, JC reminisced about how his father introduced to him the world of music.
“Nung una po, 'di talaga ako kumakanta, nagsusulat lang po ako ng kanta. Ang nagturo po sa akin maggitara at magsulat ng kanta ay yung daddy ko, si April Boy. Na-develop na lang po nung pagsama-sama ko sa daddy ko. Sabi niya sa akin 'pag magka-bonding kami, oh kantahin mo 'to,” he shared.
He also mentioned the reason why he loves to perform.
“Yung pinakagusto ko po bilang music artist ay yung nakapagpasaya po ako ng tao sa pamamagitan po ng mga sinusulat ko pong kanta saka sa pagpe-perform ko po.”
