StarStruck alumna Jennylyn Mercado relaunches her and Dennis Trillo's relief operation initiative called StarTRUCK to help those affected by Typhoon Odette.
In her Instagram post, Jennylyn announced the return of their donation drive initiative.
“Hello mga bessie! Pasko na sa darating na Sabado pero nakakalungkot na marami sa mga kababayan natin sa VisMin ay tila hindi ito maipagdiriwang tulad ng dati dahil sa pinsalang dulot ng bagyong Odette. Kaya naman muli tayong magkaisa at tumulong sa kanilang pagbangon,” she wrote in the caption.
“Nagbabalik uli ang StarTRUCK para magsilbing tulay sa inyong mga donasyon papunta sa ating napiling partner organizations,” Jennylyn announced.
She then said that they will be accepting cash and in-kind donations. Details on the drop-off points and collection of in-kind donations in key areas in Metro Manila will be announced within the day.
Jennylyn also stated that the beneficiaries of their relief efforts are the Typhoon Odette survivors from Cebu, Siargao, Bohol, and Palawan.
Jennylyn and Dennis first launched StarTRUCK back in November 2020 to help the survivors of Typhoon Ulysses, which caused massive flooding in Cagayan Valley.
Their initiative's motto is inspired by StarStruck's tagline “Dream. Believe. Survive.” But instead of “survive,” the term is replaced with “donate” to encourage our kababayans to help those badly affected by the typhoons.
